The VV21S once again pursued satisfactory adaptability to diversifying modern car styles and focused on advanced design details and expression of high-quality texture. The VV21SX, which is an evolved model of VV21S, follows this concept and has been developed as the definitive crossover wheel that works well both on- and off-road. This time, a new color, Matte Diamond Cut/Side Matte Graphite debuts as part of the Versus Craft Collection. The new finish highlights the charm of the VV21SX from a different angle. The surface machining brings the narrow-diameter Y-spokes into sharp relief and the deeper sections. The relief pockets, which directly link to weight reduction, and the shape remarkably rounding toward the center are symbolic beauty forms of this model. The differences between the light and the shade brought by the new color refresh the beauty form, making the wheels look friskier and sharper. The surface treatment adopted this time makes the contrast between the light and the shade; clearly different from the standard colors used on the VV21SX. By focusing on surface machining and emphasizing sharpness, the unique individuality of the VV21SX’s spokes, which round toward the center, is accentuated and its dimensional beauty is strikingly appealing.
Relief pockets
Our latest analysis technology created the relief pockets (pierced holes) on the sides of the spokes. Cutting away unnecessary sections directly links to weight reduction. We calculated sections on which such cutting is possible as well as shapes that enable such weight reduction without sacrificing strength and rigidity. We turned such processing into an attractive design. The details can be said to be functional beauty.
A.M.T.
The logo ‘VERSUS’ machined on the wheel rim by RAYS patented technology Advanced Machining Technology (A.M.T.), which the company takes great pride in, is a true sign of authenticity. The delicately engraved logo adds a three-dimensional effect that serves as an accent further enhancing the high quality of the VV21SX.
Speed Brick Rim Type 3
The VV21SX 6 HOLE MODEL adopts ‘Speed Brick Rim Type 3’, a new concept of flange reinforcement. Unnecessary sections were cut away in brick-like shapes for weight reduction, but thickness was retained where needed as ribs in sections that require strength. This new design serves to smoothly integrate the sharp spokes with a sense of volume suitable for vehicles with large P.C.D.
Small diameter cap
The small diameter closed type Center Cap allows for perfect hub centricity with Toyota vehicles. Because this model is targeted at vehicles that use larger tires, we have focused on well balanced specifications and design.
