MID RACING R50 EVO. The meaning of “EVO” here is not a minor update. The biggest news is that this model has been reborn as Made in Japan.
The R50 has matured through the Type S and has finally arrived at its completed form: R50 EVO.
While retaining the universal foundation of a five-spoke design, every line and detail has been thoroughly refined. The powerful, extended spoke lines flow smoothly into the rim, creating a look that is sporty yet clean. The center section is boldly dropped, and combined with a concave cross-section, it delivers a wide, Spartan presence with real impact. This is why a simple five-spoke can embody such sharpened functional beauty.
Further weight reduction is achieved through aggressive material shaving on the sides of the spokes using machining processes. Manufacturing is handled by ENKEI, and the MADE IN JAPAN and ENKEI engravings speak for themselves.
This is a wheel where MID has pursued sports performance without compromise—a true game changer.

The defining characteristic of the R10EVO, as the “EVO” name suggests, lies in its rebirth as a Japanese-made model. Pushing the sports wheel philosophy developed by MID even further, the R10EVO and R50EVO have finally achieved “Made in JAPAN” status. Manufacturing is handled by ENKEI, and the wheels are engraved with both “Made in JAPAN” and “ENKEI” marks. This is an evolutionary racing wheel designed to balance lightweight performance and rigidity at a high level, drawing out a deeper joy of driving. It is an ambitious work that marks MID’s entry into a new stage.
A Deep Center Profile that Leads to Lightness
The deeply recessed center profile defines the three-dimensional presence of the R50EVO. Designed as a continuous form from the base of the spokes to the hub area, the pronounced drop creates visual depth and a tightly focused expression. At the same time, unnecessary material has been carefully removed to contribute to weight reduction, sharpening the powerful character of the five-spoke design. The center cap has also been redesigned, featuring a dedicated form that complements and enhances the deeply sculpted center section.
Details Born from Function
The continuous side cut flowing from the spoke surface into the center junction accentuates the sculpted form of the R50EVO. Precision machining calculated for each cross-section enhances both structure and aesthetics, while knurling applied to the rim flange achieves weight reduction and rigidity without compromise—at the same time maximizing tire performance. Lines and details derived from pure function carve a decisive presence into the vehicle’s stance.
The Mark of Sport, Embedded at the Wheel
The R50EVO comes with exclusive spoke decals. Subtle yet expressive, this accent reinforces its performance-driven character, adding tension and a sense of sporting spirit to the wheel’s otherwise minimal form. Combined with the bold five-spoke design, it sharpens the impression both at a standstill and in motion.
