R10 EVO

Pursuing lightweight performance through an uncompromisingly simple design, the R10 EVO achieves an ideal balance of lightness and rigidity.
Side machining is applied only to the spokes where material can be removed without compromising strength or stiffness, while the center section is hollowed out to the inner limit to achieve extreme weight reduction.
The top surfaces of the spokes are left unmachined, preserving clean, linear beauty.
Their shape allows controlled flex, creating the tight, disciplined silhouette characteristic of racing wheels. The wheel can be styled with a center-lock–inspired cap for a more race-oriented look, or worn capless for a spartan, purposeful appearance—allowing drivers to choose the style that best suits their build.

The defining characteristic of the R10EVO, as the “EVO” name suggests, lies in its rebirth as a Japanese-made model. Pushing the sports wheel philosophy developed by MID even further, the R10EVO and R50EVO have finally achieved “Made in JAPAN” status. Manufacturing is handled by ENKEI, and the wheels are engraved with both “Made in JAPAN” and “ENKEI” marks. This is an evolutionary racing wheel designed to balance lightweight performance and rigidity at a high level, drawing out a deeper joy of driving. It is an ambitious work that marks MID’s entry into a new stage.

Precise Center Design that Commands Attention

The center area is sculpted to emphasize the symmetry of the 10-spoke design, with lines that flow naturally toward the hub to compose the entire face. By drawing the eye toward the center, it creates a cohesive look and a sharp impression. Additionally, the wall thickness is precisely calculated down to the smallest detail to achieve both a nimble appearance and a solid sense of rigidity. The result is a tight, disciplined presence that doesn’t feel cluttered despite the number of spokes. The specially designed center cap completes the clean and high-precision face design.

Sharp Spokes where Function Defines Form

The sides of the spokes undergo extensive machining to meticulously optimize their cross-sectional shape. By shaving off unnecessary material, the wheel achieves not only a reduction in actual weight but also a visually light impression. The sharply narrowed spoke lines form a refined look that feels weightless despite being a 10-spoke design. This slimness, backed by functional necessity, highlights the precision and performance image of a true sports wheel.

Knurling Process

The bead seat features a knurling process to suppress slippage between the tire and the wheel, which often occurs under heavy traction. This treatment, reflecting insights derived from motorsports, maximizes tire performance and supports driving stability from the ground up.
